From running a body piercing studio in Sussex for 20 years to running an artisan smokehouse on a small holding in the Cambrian Mountains in West Wales.
I am the owner/founder of WelshHomested Smokery (est in 2019). We commercially cold smoke different flavours of bacon, lamb bacon, chillies, salt and sugar and make BBQ rubs, smoked chilli jams and smoky meat jams alongside our bacons. These are sold in retail throughout Wales and we are branching into England more now and also in food service across the UK.
We also have a big outside kitchen space where we host smoking, BBQ, and preserving workshops
Being a smallholding we also produce much of our own food including proteins such as chicken, turkey, pork and lamb. We do most of the lamb/pork butchery here and the poultry processing is also done by us.
We moved from Sussex in 2016 and the food, bbq and business has grown from there!
